funkadelic relic Lyrics - Ll Cool J

Enjoy the best Ll Cool J song lyrics!

Yeah, (bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
Yeah, and its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
Yeah, and its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it)

James Todd Smith and nine years old
When +Sugarhill+ was in control
I'm listenin' to cold-crushed tapes to get sold
I set my demo in a silvia-treated me cold
Time flew cause I was gettin' my shit off
Sixteen-now it's about the time to set my first hit off
("I Need A Beat") +I Need A Beat+, it was a smash on the DL
But everytime I did a show my name was mispelled
+Can't Live Without My Radio+ drops
I'm kickin' down the door-crushed cool box
+Rockin' the bells+ like a madman
dissin', event-flippin' the script-but then I made my first ?50,000
All I wanted was a pencil, a little gold
a little money in my pocket and a Phillie to roll
I'm makin' records, now alla the girls are on my tip
I'm sleepin' late, no money damn, I'm late for school, SHIT!!

("Todd, get upstairs and take out that garbage")
And its the funkadelic relic
Yeah, (bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
And its the funkadelic relic
Yeah, (bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
Its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it)

I wasn't tryin' to hear it cause I'm bad
When I'm alone in my room, I pick up a pen and start to get mad
+I Need Love+, that means I need a girl to love me down
I dropped the pretty style cause rap was gettin' ugly
I waited a year for the results, I'm triple platinum
We know the presidents are flowin' by who's sackin' them
+I'm that type of guy+ when poppa wasn't happy with it
Trippin' them up, that was my style, but everybody bit it
Yo Marley, hit the remix, make it fresh with flavour
Another power move, I'll switch my hat, the shit is major
Puttin' out +Till Da Break Of Dawn+, tell me what sucker?
Cops harass me +Illegal Search+ motherfucker
I'm just a brother makin' jams now I got a name
I still remember chillin' with my pistol on the train

Sing with the song of Ll Cool J, Funkadelic Relic lyrics!

I'm sayin' two to this I'm representin' hip-hop
Admit that I'm the man, its time for me to get my props

Yeah, and its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
Yeah, and its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
Yeah, I'm the funkadelic relic
Yeah, (bring in the funk (uh) baby, bring it in, bring it)
Come on man!

+Mama Said To Knock 'Em Out+ I knocked 'em out the box
I got a rhyme to wake, you're sloppin' up and down the blocks
There never was a time when I was down to meetin' by myself
when all the punks on top of everybody else, but
in '92 and '93 I'm makin' history
The largest motherfuckin' street, that ain't no mystery
The baddest rapper ever born, you think I'm crazy?
I heard your albums' kinda warm, that shit don't phase me
I'm too rough, too rugged, now that doesn't sound so easy does it
Thought I was +Going Back To Cali+ where I knew I wasn't
I sent a +Murdergram+, solo in a black van
I'm claimin' knuckle game, stomp you with my Timberland
+Mr. Goodbar+ lickin' all the rough stuff
I'm kickin' down your door with condoms in a rudder-put
You wanna find me come to +Farmers Boulevard+
and you can hear me eat them up, just ask for Todd

Uh, and I'm the funkadelic relic
Yeah, I'm the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it)
Yeah, and its the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it)
Yeah, I'm the funkadelic relic
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it, uh)

(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk baby, bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk)
(bring in the funk baby, bring it in, bring it)

Artist Information

Name:James Todd Smith
Profile:Born James Todd Smith on January 14, 1968, Ladies Love Cool James (LL Cool J) began his career in Queens, N.Y. when he was 16 years old, though he had been rapping since the age of nine. His grandfather bought him a mixing table and LL began to record tapes in his home. Inevitably, he sent his tapes to various record labels and finally interested Def Jam Productions. In 1984 they signed him and released his first single, "I Need A Beat." The single sold more than 100,000 copies and established LL Cool J in the rap industry. His debut album, I Can't Live Without My Radio, (which went platinum) was recorded in 1985 after LL left high school to pursue a career in music. 1987 marked the release of his second album Bigger and Deffer, which soared to the No. 3 spot on the pop charts with the help of the hit single, "I Need Love." LL's ability to intuitively combine rap and pop is his strong point, but at the same time it has cost him the respect of many rap fans who claimed he has a sold out. The successful single, "Goin' Back to Cali," appeared on the Less Than Zero soundtrack in 1988, further boosting his crossover popularity. In 1990 LL struck again with Mama Said Knock You Out, which marked him as a rap super-guru and pop deity. After this ascension, he starred in two movies and appeared and performed at the MTV Inaugural Ball in honor of President Clinton. He released 14 Shots to the Dome in 1993. LL returned to the studio to record the double platinum album Mr. Smith in 1995. Throughout the mid-90s, LL continued to branch out into acting, taking roles in films such as Woo, Halloween: H20, and the Oliver Stone football opus Any Given Sunday. During this time, he released All World: Greatest Hits (1996) and Phenomenon (1997), an album that did not do well commercially or critically as it appeared LL was more interested in Hollywood than the hip-hop scene. LL confirmed his attraction to acting over the next few years, taking a small part in 2000??s Charlie??s Angels and then scoring a starring role in the 2002 remake of Rollerball. In between, he found time to release G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time), a self-assured collection that highlighted LL??s classic lyrical flow and gave him some much-needed cred in the ever-changing rap landscape. With his 2002 release, 10, LL reaffirms the strength of his position in the popular culture of music. ??I consider this disc to be a milestone in my life,? says LL Cool J. ??A tenth album for anybody is truly an amazing moment.? While the world of hip-hop has not, historically, provided much stability or staying power for the artists that shaped it, LL Cool J has managed to take a stand within it, combining rap and pop influences that appeal to both realms.
