circle of the tyrants Lyrics - Obituary

[Written by Celtic Frost]
The battle is over
And the sands drunk the blood.
All what there remains
Is the bitterness of delusions.
Circle of the tyrants.
The immortality of the gods.
Sits their side.
As they leave the walls behind.
To reach the jewel's gleam.
Circle of the tyrants.
The days have come when the steel will rule
And upon his head a crown of gold.
Your hand wields the might.
The tyrant's the precursor.
You carry the will as the morning is near.
Sing with the song of Obituary, Circle Of The Tyrants lyrics!I sing the ballads of victory and defeat.
I hear the tales of frozen mystery.
Your hand wields the might.
The tyrants the precursor.
You carry the will as the morning is near.
The intensive gleam.
The new kingdoms rise by the circle of the tyrants.
In the land of darkness.
The warrior that was me.
Grotesque glory.
None will ever see them fall.
And hunts and wars are like everlasting shadows.
Where the winds cannot reach the tyrants might was born.
And as I often look back with tears in my eyes.
Grotesque glory.
None will ever see them fall.
And hunts and wars are like ever lasting shadows.
Their distant call.

Artist Information
| Profile: | Obituary was created in 1985 (Brandon, Florida) as Xecutioner (they even recorded a demo tape "Xecutioner", which included Find The Arise and later unreleased Like The Dead). Later they changed their name (there was already another Xecutioner in Boston) to Desecration and finally (in 1988) to Obituary.
Originally the band was made up of John Tardy (voc), Donald Tardy (dr) and Trevor Peres (g). In 1986 they were joined by Allen West (g) and David Tucker (b). At the beginning of 1990 West and Tucker were replaced by James Murphy (g, formerly in Death) and Frank Watkins (b). Then in 1991 Murphy (he later played in Cancer and Disincarnate, also he had few guest appearances during The End Complete session) was replaced by returning West.
They released six LPs so far, all except the debut "Slowly We Rot" were pretty successfull (The End Complete, their best selling LP, made 200,000 copies sold worldwide - as many as both first LPs). This makes them the best selling Roadrunner's death metal band.
