Far Away: Nickelback?s Sole Love Song
Canadian band Nickelback describes its second single ?Far Away? from its fifth studio album All the Right Reasons, as the ?only real love song? that rockstar Nickelback has while the others are ?being about love? but not solely about ?being in love.?

Nickleback far away was first released in February 2006 only in Europe and Australia, followed four months after by the release in Canada in June 2006.

Released in the US as the fourth single from the band?s All the Right Reasons album in July 2006, far away Nickleback single was a huge success in the U.S. and became the band's fourth Top Ten single on the Billboard Hot 100, so far peaking at #8.

Far away Nickelback was the second Top Ten single from their latest album "All the Right Reasons" after the lead single of the album "Photograph" which peaked at No.2 on the chart, making All the Right Reasons Nickelback's only CD to date to have two top ten singles on the Hot 100.

In addition far away Nickelback has found big success on the U.S. pop, digital, and adult charts. However, it is the only and i m so far away lyric Nickelback single after How You Remind Me to not chart on either of the rock charts.

Far away Nickelback was the second song of Nickelback to reach #1 on the ARC Weekly Top 40 chart making it the second Nickelback song to do so. The first was How You Remind Me, which stayed at #1 the last 2 weeks of 2001.

Canada's Nickelback started as a cover band in Hanna, 215 kilometers northeast of Calgary. Eventually, tired of playing other people's songs, singer/guitarist Chad Kroeger put together a collection of original songs, borrowed money from his stepfather, and went to Vancouver to record the band in a friend's studio.

Based on the results, Kroeger's guitarist brother, Mike, and pal bassist Ryan Vikedal all relocated to Vancouver in 1996; that same year, they recorded and released the EP Hesher and full-length Curb independently, then embarked on a series of cross-country tours.

The bandmembers animals Nickelback started managing themselves in late 1998, with Chad handling all the radio tracking, brother Mike Kroeger the distribution, and Ryan Vikedal all the bookings.

During a period when Canadian content requirements were increased and local rock radio began desperately seeking out homegrown product, they found was Nickelback's single "Leader of Men." Listen to - Nickelback - i want to be a rock star followed.

The band toured ceaselessly for The State and 200 shows later, lyrics to far away by Nickleback had gone from virtual unknowns to playing in front of over a million people alongside the likes of Creed, 3 Doors Down, Fuel, and more. The band's post-grunge commercial appeal wasn't lost on the record industry, and The State was snapped up by Roadrunner in the U.S. and EMI in Canada. It eventually sold an impressive 500,000 copies.

Along with the growing success was the improvement in Chad Kroeger?s writing when he decided to write his lyrics in a more direct manner, rather than the metaphorical lyrics of previous releases.

"Too Bad" pertained to the father who was never around when Chad and his brother were growing up; "Never Again" was a song inspired by broken homes; and "How You Remind Me," the first single from the album, was written at rehearsals shortly before the band went into the studio.

To record the album, Nickelback worked with producer Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog) at the same studio they used for The State, Vancouver's Green House. The combination of the band's growing popularity and the quality of the songs sent Silver Side Up into the sales charts around the world, spearheaded by the hit single "How You Remind Me."

Ever since their smash hit "How You Remind Me" the band enjoyed major commercial success. Rockstar Nickelback sold over 13.5 million albums in the United States and over 1.7 million albums in Canada, their worldwide albums sales counted near to 20 million.
