My Chemical Romance Unveils US Tour Dates
Indeed a band of their word, My Chemical Romance unveils US tour dates which will kick off in February next year, as promised to MCR?s American fans.

For this past year, My Chemical Romance, who released a much anticipated LP ? the concept album The Black Parade ? spent much of their promotional time overseas, playing for fans in Europe, and occasional rock radio station sponsored holiday concerts.

To the delight of awaiting fans from the US, My Chemical Romance and black parade promised to return on the road in 2007.

Aside from the busy overseas promotional schedules, the band, just days after My Chemical Romance my black porade debuted at the Video Music Awards, My Chemical Romance had to cancel two shows when drummer Bob Bryar in My Chemical Romance lounge pants was hospitalized because of complications from an injury sustained in the previous month.

The band canceled shows in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse, New York, after Bryar was taken to the hospital following the VMA preshow performance, according to a statement on the band's Web site, which contained My Chemical Romance frank pics.

"We got some really bad news in the past 48 hours. As a result of complications with a previous injury, Bob ended up in the hospital with a staph infection," carry on My Chemical Romance statement read.

"He's being monitored all weekend and we want to be by his the side whole time. Unfortunately, this means we can't make this weekend's shows in Allentown and Syracuse because we need to be there by his side."

Prior to that, the band had to cancel a performance at the San Diego Street Scene festival last month because of the injuries, sustained during an August 3 video shoot for My Chemical Romance welcome to the black perade, the first single from its upcoming album, The Black Parade. Singer Gerard Way tore ligaments in his ankle during the incident, and Bryar received what a statement called a "bad burn to the back of his leg".

The two canceled weekend shows were currently the only U.S dates confirmed for MCR.

There were in fact suggestions for the band to push through with the gig with a different drummer, but the other band members opted to remain true to Bob and the band. Fans had to make do with music by My Chemical Romance on MSN.

MCR further said in the released statement that the band is working on putting on other shows soon in those areas for free to try and make it up with the fans.

Starting in late February, the long wait will be over. With Rise Against along for the ride, My Chemical Romance will launch the first leg of their tour on February 22 in Manchester, New Hampshire. Seventeen dates have been scheduled thus far, running through March 16 in Reno, Nevada.

Additional dates will be announced in the coming weeks ? and the next batch will feature openers Muse. News of the tour follows the release of the video for "Famous Last Words," the second single from My Chemical Romance the back parade, which has sold more than 550,000 copies since its release two months ago.

The trek will also lead the band into its headlining slot at this year's Bamboozle festival, which will be held May 5-6 at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

MCR will close out the fest's first night, while Linkin Park has been tapped to wrap up the second.
