Bryan "'Baby'" Williams, also known as The Birdman is an eminent entertainment mogul and entrepreneur, record executive, record producer, adopted father of Lil Wayne, performer and rapper.

In 1991, Williams and his brother, Ronald Williams, founded the hip-hop label Cash Money Records. Under the moniker "Baby", Williams recorded a number of albums with producer Mannie Fresh as The Big Tymers.

The label achieved commercial success when Williams signed on noted local rapper Terius "Juvenile" Gray and Tab "Turk" Virgil. Adding to its success is the release of make it rain Lil Wayne and underground Lil Wayne.

Juvenile, b.g. Lil Wayne turk formed the quarter super group Hot Boys and began touring. Bullet soon left the label, but Williams managed to continue developing his stable of artists rap artist including Lil Wayne and b.g. music beef and proved himself to be a savvy businessman when he inked a distribution deal with Universal records, worth over $30 million.

Cash Money Records subsequently grew in leaps and bounds with a succession of hits that included Juvenile's Ha, Back That Azz Up and B.G.'s Bling Bling. The Big Tymers (which consisted of Williams and Manny Fresh rapping) were formed as well, primarily because Manny had produced a prodigious number of tracks and the label did not want them to go to waste.

Howver, questions of fraud started haunting Williams in 2001, prompting Juvenile, B.G. and Turk to leave the label, leaving Cash Money with just Lil Wayne and the Big Tymers.

Williams then adopted the "Birdman" moniker and began releasing two platinum-selling albums with the Big Tymers. His own solo album was profitable as well, as "Birdman Volume 1" subsequently went gold.

Williams currently resides in Miami, Florida where he owns several homes and condominiums, including an entire floor of units at the prestigious Portofino Tower in South Beach.

Williams left New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which destroyed a number of his properties and causing extensive damage to his five million dollar Eastover Estate, which was previously owned by former New Orleans Saint Pat Swilling. Williams is currently the acting CEO of Cash Money Records and his surrogate son Lil Wayne is president of the label.
