50 Cent to Release Own Brand of Condoms
After releasing a series of books, 50 Cent now plans of releasing his own brand of condoms.

The Queens, NY rapper, who launched his G-Unit Book imprint via a book signing yesterday last January 4, mulls on embarking on the condom venture hoping to promote safe sex effectively and plans to donate part of the proceeds to HIV awareness.

50 Cent recently released a series of books which included The Ski Mask Way, Death Before Dishonor and Baby Brother.

Afterwhich, 50 Cent put them up and plans to develop the books into films. A screenplay for The Ski Mask Way has already been written and the movie will be shot in the summer.

50 Cent explained that his novels are the harsh realities in certain situations and the actual honest content in the music and the books are a spin-off of that reality.

"That's what hip-hop about them is. In The Ski Mask Way particularly, there's a character named Seven that's based on me. And there's a portion where he's incarcerated and has to make decisions about his life and how things spin out of control. I've been in a similar space, but I was able to hold on and not spin out of control," he said.

Currently, he revealed that he is also writing a book entitled 50 Laws of Power with author Robert Greene. The book will be an urban take of Greene's 48 Laws of Power.

On the other hand, 50 Cent told federal agents that he fears for his life due to a long-running dispute with a New York drug dealer facing charges that he was the secret power behind one of hip-hop's leading labels.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, survived a 2000 murder attempt that investigators believe was orchestrated by Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff, a convicted Queens druglord.

A 2003 search warrant affidavit for the Manhattan offices of the Murder, Inc. record label contended that McGriff "communicates with Murder, Inc. employees concerning the target."

Mace alleged that McGriff has subjected 50 Cent on surveillance and has been tracking 50 Cent's whereabouts through his network of associates.

His allies are sending ad hoc surveillance reports to McGriff's pager, which was provided to him by the rap label, headed by McGriff's boyhood pal Irving Lorenzo (aka Irv Gotti).

McGriff has branded 50 Cent as a talking dry snitcher for talking to investigators about the murder of Jason Mizell, Run-DMC's Jam Master Jay.

Investigators have looked into an angle in Mizell's death if it was related to the "blacklist" order of 50 Cent from the adversaries.

The mere fact that he spoke to probers, the star has been perceived as a police informant. 50 Cent earlier said the threats in his life are not about rap war but rather hatred from competitors in crack dealing.
