Fergalicious by Fergie sitting high on charts
Whooping with 265,000 digital copies sold, Fergalicious sets another record for Fergie as she climbs the top spot for the US Billboard Pop 100.

Released on October 19, 2006, Fergalicious takes in the number 1 throne for Pop 100 closely fought by Beyonce's Irreplaceable. It places number 2 in Billboard Hot 100 but is recognized for being the largest gainer single.

A union of the words "Fergie" and "delicious," the lyrics for Fergalicious by Fergie tingles one's imagination as Fergie presents how her body gives reaction to men termed as "on rock, rock," (giving an erection to men). Lyrics to Fergalicious also features how Fergie puts her name into spelling, "F to tha E-R, G, tha I, tha E."

Fergalicious music video provides another factor on putting the song on a higher ground. Premiered on October 24, 2006 and October 31st, 2006 on MTV and Yahoo! Music, respectively, it showcases a Fergie cake wrestling scene on a "Fergieland," a Willy Wonka inspired factory. Featuring an appearance of Will I Am from the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie appears here as a factory worker with a "Fergalicious" boxes of candy working with other sexy 'candy girls.'

Fergalicious is the second hit single of Stacy Ann Ferguson also known as Fergie.

A biography on Fergie shows how the American pop and R&B singer, songwriter, and actress has already reached far in her career starting out as a member of Kids Incorporated and Wild Orchid. She also did co-host to the Great Pretenders TV show.

Fergie got her break for her career though when she took over background singer, Kim Hill as female lead vocalist for the Black Eyed Peas band in 2003. Fergie was able to record five songs with the band before she was asked to stay with them for permanent. It was with the band that Fergie got worldwide recognition.

In 2005, hot pics of Fergie showed up after she covered for FHM in the magazine's January issue. And more of these sexy photos of Fergie from Black Eyed Peas came when she was featured number 36 on Maxim's Hot 100 list for 2006. Ferguson also did a cover for the January 2007 issue of Cosmopolitan.

Mid-2006 and after two Black Eyed Peas hit albums, Fergie got her biggest break as a singer (probably the peak of her career) when her first solo album entitle Dutchess was released on September 19,2006. The album was a misspelled version of a former title from someone with the same surname as hers, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

As the carrier single of the album, London Bridge by Fergi has set the pace for the solo career of Fergie. After its release on July 18, 2006, it has reached over 2,816,000 of worldwide sales and topped the charts for three weeks. It is still currently active in worldwide charts, too.

Lyrics to London Bridge by Fergie was written by Sean Garett, the same who helped writing "Yeah" by Usher. The song describes the life of glitters and fame lived by celebrities, "It's like everytime I get up on the dude Papparazzi put my business in the news.."

The title London Bridge which is a figure of speech for underwear, was stressed out when Fergie wears a London flag-printed underwear in the video. Thus, the lyrics to London Bridge by Fergie, "How come every time you come around, My London London Bridge wanna go down" provides a sexual and naughty feeling to its listeners.

After Fergalicious, the single collaborated with Ludacris entitled "Glamorous" was confirmed to be released although it has already started to receive radio airplays.

Despite this soaring solo career of Fergie, she explains that the career move does not really mean her isolation from the Black Eyed Peas. Fergie stressed her intention to stay in the group while attending on her solo path. The music of her songs has in fact the kind of flavor served by the band. Fellow Black Eyed Peas member like Will I Am does production duties to show full support to Fergie.
