Jovan Campbell is the latest youngster to storm the hiphop scene. But you'd probably know him better as Jibbs. This rapper from St. Louis, Missouri has an album out already. AOL music has named him one of the best new artists in 2006. All these, and he's just 16 years old!

His stage name Jibbs is actually what his mother has always called him. He was quite a talker growing up, that his mother nicknamed him Jibbs, another term for mouth piece. It's no wonder he became a rapper. And at such an early age! This is because Jibbs has been rapping since he was 9. In fact, he used to perform at local shows at that time. His older brother is DJ Beats from Da Beatstaz. This further influenced Jibbs to develop his rapping skills. In fact, Jibbs decided to forego a career in boxing, a sport he is also very good at. He felt that he was better at rapping than at boxing. Music has always been his passion.

Jibbs' first album, entitled Jibbs Feat. Jibbs was released October 2006, and reached the 12th spot on the US Billboard 200 chart in no time. And even before this was released, the carrier single Chain Hang Low was already being downloaded from the web worldwide. iTunes even reports that Chain Hang Low Jibbs was the most downloaded song on iTunes two months before the album came out. This goes to show that Chain Hang Low Jibbs has certainly made a name for itself! The song came out on iTunes because of the many requests to play song do yo chain hang low by Jibbs.

Chains Hang Low Jibbs climbed as far as #6 in the Billboard charts. Chang Hang Low Jibbs is yet to scale the UK charts as to date. But it's a safe bet that the Jibbs Chain Hang Iow track will be topping the UK charts pretty soon.

Jibbs King Kong is the second track off his album, and was released last December 2006. Although the track features fellow rapper Chamillionare, it has not done well as Chain Hang Low. King Kong Jibbs just reached the 96th spot on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Jibbs King Kong mp3 does not have any relation to the giant ape King Kong itself. When you download King Kong by Jibbs, you will notice that the ape is not mentioned at all. Jibbs King Kong is just a reference made to the loud media systems found in car trunks.

Jibbs' next track Let's Be Real veers off the party scene. Lyrics to Lets Be Real by Jibbs focuses on Jibbs trying to get a woman to be honest with her failing relationship with another man. He then tries to show the woman that his feelings for her are real.
