It's a nice feeling when artists who have made it big in the music scene give something back to their fellowmen. And Young Jeezy is definitely one of those artists.

When Hurricane Katrina struck America, it virtually wiped out a lot of houses and infrastructures, leaving residents homeless and poverty-stricken. Young Jeezy opened his doors to some victims, providing them shelter during this rough time.

Sadly, this led to trouble for Jeezy's personal life. At that time, Jeezy was estranged from his ex-girlfriend, Tynesha Dykes. They have a kid together, and Jeezy was ordered to give Dykes $178 per month. His income, as reported at that time, was supposedly $89.30 per month.

But when Dykes found out about Young Jeezy's philanthropy, she realized that she was being duped by the established rapper. She then took him to court, the result being an increase from $178 to $1,400 a month.

This is quite a reasonable scheme, providing that Jeezy has indeed been successful, with his young jeezy gangster music flow. Young Jeezy released his debut album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 in 2005. The album sold at least $170,000 copies in its first week. young jeezy soul survive is the second single off the album. But in 2006, Jeezy released his sophomore album, The Inspiration, which did way better than his first one. The album sold more than 300,000 copies upon its release.

The video for i love it young jeezy was filmed in Jeezy's native Georgia. Several rappers made cameos in the i love it young jeezy video, including Lil Scrappy and Birdman. Young jeezy luv it also appeared on BET, garnering hundreds of i luv it young jeezy mp3 downloads from the web. The lyrics for young jeezy i luv it express how the rapper is into living life in the fast lane.

Another young jeezy mp3 that rocked the charts is young jeezy go geta. young jeezy go geta features veteran R. Kelly. go geta young jeezy was released just this January of 2007. A music video for go geta young jeezy has not been released yet, even if the rapper has finished shooting it already. The second single off the album is Bury Me a G. The track talks about how busy young jeezy has been since he came storming into the music scene. It did not do quite as well as it was expected on the charts though. But a video for the track was indeed released. The video was related to another young jeezy video of J.E.E.Z.Y. Another collaborative track off the album is young jeezy dreaming, which features Keyshia Cole.

So, what has been keeping Young Jeezy busy these days? He has actually been working with Ludacris' latest album, Release Therapy, which came out in 2006. ludicrous and young jeezy collaborated on the Grew Up A Screw Up track. Interestingly, there were some rumors that ludicrous and young jeezy were not in good terms. Doing this track together proves the exact opposite of these rumors. Young jeezy did, however, make another version of the chorus ludicrous and young jeezy had made earlier.

Young Jeezy also came up with an essay contest for youngsters from Atlanta. The topic for the essay was "What Inspires You", in relation to his latest album The Inspiration. Keosha Morgan of Benjamin Mays High School won the contest, and the prize money of $1,000. The prize-winning essay is about getting inspiration from teaching abused teenagers, and can now be read on websites worldwide.
