music by the band called breaking Benjamin has always been the pride of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. With the release of their latest album, Phobia, breaking Benjamin has definitely gained regard through the years.

The alternative metal band was formed in 1998, by Benjamin Burnley and Jeremy Hummel. Burnley and Hummel were the band's vocals and drummer respectively. The band's name was changed to Plan 9. But Plan 9 did not really suit the ban, so they reverted to the original name, breaking Benjamin. Since then, people have been storming the web for breaking benjamin tabs and Breaking Benjamin hoodies. These Breaking Benjamin hoodies cost around $20-$30.

After signing onto Hollywood Records, breaking Benjamin started releasing studio albums. The first of which was Saturate, released on August 27, 2002. The album did not do quite well, but it did build a strong locale fan stead for the band.

A year later, Hummel filed a case against breaking Benjamin, stating that he was not paid for songs he had written. It took roughly a year for the band to reach some sort of settlement. But all's well with the band now.

On August 2006, breaking Benjamin released their latest album Phobia. The album sold more than 130,000 copies in its first week alone, mostly in major retail shops. The album went as high as 2nd place on the US Billboard Top 200 chart. The Diary of Jane is the first single off the album.

Breaking BenjaminDiary of Jane scaled the charts upon its release. In fact, it became one of the fastest-moving tracks on, not one, not two, but three charts! breaking benjamindiary of jane did well on the Modern Rock chart, Active Rock chart, and Rock chart. breaking benjamindiary of jane also did well in terms of streaming on the net. Breaking BenjaminDiary of Jane was streamed at least 160,000 times in its first two weeks on the web. There are actually 3 versions recorded of breaking benjamin diary of jane. The first two versions are on the album itself. The same breaking benjamindiary of jane version is used on the video and for the radio.

Then there's the breaking benjamin acoustic version for breaking benjamindiary of jane. This is a much softer version of breaking benjamin dairy of jane, with the use of the piano, the violin, and the cello.

A stunning video for the track was also made. And if you think breaking benjamin's - the diary of jane's videos model in the video is familiar, that's because you've probably seen her before. Sarah Mather, from the 4th season of American Idol, plays Jane Bryan in the video. The band has confirmed that the next track off Phobia would be breath breaking Benjamin.

Breaking benjamin has been busy touring with Godsmack, in promotion of Phobia as well. Sadly, they had to cancel some of their shows due to poor health conditions. But don't fret; the band will be touring with Nickelback this February, to make up for lost time! Be sure to mark your calendars!
