This piece is about cassie the singer. The one who just turned twenty last August of 2006. The one who comes from a multi-racial family. The one who has a career in music, modeling, and acting. This cassie the singer is the one who released a chart-hitting self-titled debut album just weeks before she turned 20.

Casandra Ventura, better known as Cassie, started her modeling career when she was still 14 years old. When she finished high school, she opted to set aside her college plans for a while. Instead, she fostered her modeling career, with the hopes of getting into the music scene as well.

Cassie was modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch in New York when she was first introduced to producer Ryan Leslie. Leslie gave Cassie's material to Tommy Mottola, a renowned mogul in the music industry. Mottola liked the material, and not long after that, Cassie had signed on with Leslie's NextSelection label.

This brought on the birth of me and u cassie, which was written by both cassie the singer and Leslie. This was in the year 2005. By 2006, Cassie made a smart move by signing onto P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records. This brought about the release of her self-titled debut album.

me and u cassie is the 1st single off the debut album, and has gone on to become a massive hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2006. In fact, me and you by cassie took the 3rd spot on the chart. Me and you by cassie has also remained within the top 40 of the chart. And this has been going on for almost 5 consecutive months already!

The music video for cassie you and me is as sizzling as expected! Well, not the cassie me and you video that was released on mainstream anyway. That video was directed by Ray Kay. But another Cassie+video+uncut version has been released on the web. It is not known yet how this Cassie+video+uncut version was uncovered. But it stirred enough controversy to attract attention to the track.

In the Cassie+video+uncut version, there are a lot of sexual innuendos. With scenes of Cassie kneeling before a man and unbuckling his pants in night vision, well, you get the picture, don't you? And this scene looks all too similar to the infamous 1 Night in Paris sex tape as well. Cassie claims that this video was never meant to go online or on mainstream, that the video was meant for European audiences only. Nonetheless, the Cassie+video+uncut version made its way to the web, garnering more interest to the youngster.

Following me and u cassie is Long Way 2 Go. Long way to go cassie did not do as well as Me & U, but it did quite well in the UK. Upon its release, long way to go cassie made it into the UK Top 40. And in just 2 weeks, long way to go cassie made the highest climb on the chart, all the way to the 12th spot!

There are no rumors for an uncut version for the cassie long way to go music video. Still, it was a good video, with scenes shot in Los Angeles.

The next cassie mp3 off the album will be Kiss Me, early 2007. This cassie mp3 track is also featured on the soundtrack of Save The Last Dance 2. Y'all should watch out for this track, because this is the first song Cassie ever recorded. This is actually Cassie's birthday gift to her mother. Sweet!
