Nickelback continues to bask on their multiplatinum success despite rarely hitting the headlines, but for the band, starving for media coverage is not really their thing.

Nickelback is a Canadian post-grunge band that had nickelback rock star as one of its pioneer hits buoyed by the catchy tunes of i wanna be a rockstar nickelback coupled with a rockstar music video by nickelback and nickelback + rockstar + videos.

The members of the band are in fact happy about being the most successful under-the-radar band of all time.

The Canada-based rockers' fifth album "All the Right Reasons," has gone quadruple platinum but nothing was written about it. All the Right Reasons scored five #1 rock singles: "Photograph," Animals Nickelback, Nickelback saveing me, rock star Nickelback and Far away Nickelback.

And after staying for 60 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the LP remains in the top 25 and if that wasn't enough, Nickelback by too bad racked up nominations for the American Music Awards last year.

Nickelback guitarist Ryan Peake said making the headlines is not really a gauge of success but rather sales figures are a better scoreboard of where they stand in the competition because it signifies that people out there listen to Nickelback.

And besides, he added, Nickelback by too bad is not a rookie in the industry and so it's far from heating up the media, unless any member does something extraordinary such as an obscene turnaround maybe?

Frontman Chad Kroeger's brother bassist Mike Kroeger joked around saying maybe they just aren't the type who'll become critics' darlings. Critics are less likely to listen to Nickelback songs.

"We're not their type of music, typically, and that's cool. We sold out our last tour, and those are the people who listen to Nickelback and we're actually out there making music for those who listen to Nickelback ," Mike said.

However, rather than rest on their formidable sales figures, Nickelback continue to tour nonstop with over 13 months already in the tour plan.

Nickelback by too bad is expected to do one more leg of the tour in Tacoma, Washington and a Nickelback concert in Spokane, which will include Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. This according to biographies of nickelback.

After over a year of touring, Nickelback plans to take a downtime, which could mean writing lyrics to do this anymore by nickelback and producing for other artists.

The band also won major awards from various award giving bodies including the Juno Awards, an American Music Award, an MTV Video Music Award, and a World Music Award. The band was also nominated for seven Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards and 10 Juno Awards.
