Ultraman is a fictional Japanese superhero produced by Tsuburaya Productions, and was broadcasted from July 17, 1966 to April 17,1967 on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS). With a total of 39 episodes, Eiji Tsuburaya created the series. He was responsible for forging the special effects in early Godzilla films in 1954.
Ultraman is the first series to feature an Ultra-being; however this is really the second Ultra Series. Ultra Q was the first black-and-white 28-episode series very much like today's The X-Files or The Twilight Zone. Ultraman is actually a follow-up to the TV series Ultra Q.
Ultraman is the generic name for a series of Japanese live-action television shows. Each series focused on an extraterrestrial "Ultra-hero" who lands on Earth to struggle an assortment of huge horrible-looking monsters. Suitably, each Ultra-hero can grow to more than 200 feet tall.
