The Unstoppable Queen the Rock Band

Brit rock has been quite strong in the music industry. And today's Brit rock bands have Queen the Rock Band as their founders to thank.

To date, Queen the Rock Band has been the most successful British band. And this is for more than 30 years running already! The band started out way back in 1970, and is still very much active at present. To place some stats on the table, Queen the Rock Band has sold over 300 million albums all over the world. More than 35 million of the sales come from America alone. These figures are not that hard to imagine when you have released 15 studio albums! And these don't include the numerous compilation albums and live albums that the band has made. So, it's not really difficult to answer the question Where Can I Listen to Queen. Because Queen is truly one of the greatest musical icons that ever graced the industry.

The late Freddie Mercury came up with the name Queen for the band. He liked the fact that the word "Queen" has strong implications, and that its meaning is relative to every person. It was in the late 60's that the band members started talking about making a band. After inevitable lineup changes, Queen was born in 1971, with members Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. They immediately started working on their self-titled debut album, which was released in 1973.

Queen was welcomed in open arms, and was able to reach gold status in both the UK and the US. But in 1974, the band outdid itself, by releasing two hit albums, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack. From Sheer Heart Attack came the track killer Queen. Freddie Mercury himself composed Queen killer Queen, focusing on the life of a prostitute of the upper-class kind. For killer Queen, Mercury tried to incorporate a vaudeville type of sound for appeal. And it worked! To this day, killer Queen mp3 remains one of the famous tracks from the Brit rock band.

Queen was busy for the next 3 years, with the release of an album each year. In 1975, A Night at the Opera was released, with the hit track Queen best friend. The band was very proud to say that Queen best friend was the first song John Deacon composed. Then. From 1976's A Day at the Races came somebody to love Queen. Mercury composed somebody to love Queen himself. And he kept Aretha Franklin in his thoughts when he composed the track. But in 1977, Queen released what's probably one of their best known tracks ever, Queen we will rock you. Interestingly, Queen we will rock you was not meant to be released as one of the band's singles off News of the World. It was just meant to be a follow-up track to We Are The Champions. But We Will Rock You soared and took the charts by storm.

With Queen dont stop me now from 1978's album Jazz, there really was no stopping the band anymore. Mercury composed the lyrics and music for Queen dont stop me now, which has a couple of innuendos on Mercury's gender preference. Queen don't stop me now did very well in the UK charts, and has been covered by a lot of artists.

Another track off Jazz is Queen fat bottom girls. Brian May composed Queen fat bottom girls and shared vocal rights with Mercury. May incorporated into fat bottom girls Queen the concept that beauty is relative from one person to another.

But in 1984, Queen released another single that has the potential to go down in history, Queen break free. Queen break free is another John Deacon track. It stayed at the top of the charts for more than 3 months straight. To this date, Queen mp3 and Queen tabs of Queen break free remain popular on the web.

Unfortunately, the rumors of Freddie Mercury's bout with AIDS proved to be true. But this didn't stop the band from carrying on their musical prowess. After a couple of successful albums, Mercury finally succumbed to AIDS late November of 1991. Despite Mercury's untimely demise, the band remains active in the music scene with live performances for AIDS charities. The band has certainly proven to be a reflection of its name's strong nature.
