From acoustic rock to blues, crooner John Clayton Mayer's transition is so smooth that it's quite the pleasure to see him pull this off. And the two Grammy awards John Mayer recently won can attest to this.

His next album, Heavier Things, was released in 2003. This album was not as successful as its predecessor. Mayer began working with artists like Eric Clapton, and expressed an inclination towards the blues genre. This inclination became very vivid with the release of his September 2006 album Continuum.
