Brit rock has never been better! And with Coldplay on their side, Brit rock is definitely making an impact on the music scene worldwide!
The band's early pieces were frequently compared to those of Radiohead and Jeff Buckley. This is probably because there are a lot of similarities between the Coldplay lyrics and Coldplay tabs to those of the artists mentioned. The band started playing gigs as early as 1996, but it was in 2000 that they made their first step on the road towards stardom.
Their 2000 album Parachutes brought forth Coldplay yellow and Coldplay trouble. The Coldplay yellow track is commonly thought of as the band's debut single. This is most likely because the successful chart performance of Coldplay yellow. But yellow Coldplay is just the 2nd release from the debut album.
Still, yellow Coldplay affixed the band's signature in no time at all. Not long after, fans worldwide became familiar with the Coldplay lyrics and Coldplay tabs to yellow Coldplay. And beyond Coldplay lyrics and Coldplay tabs, yellow Coldplay won the Best Single award from NME for 2001.
Coldplay trouble from Parachutes is the band's second track to reach the Top 10 of the UK Singles chart. The Coldplay trouble track underwent a lot of changes, and different versions of it were made. But the piano version of the track and its Coldplay mp3 became huge hits worldwide.
Coldplay then released their sophomore album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, in 2002. This time around, the album contained more Coldplay mp3 and Coldplay song lyrics that were influenced by pop. The album debuted by taking the #1 spot on the UK charts.
From this album came Coldplay clocks and Coldplay the scientist. Both Coldplay clocks and Coldplay the scientist have made appearances on movies. Well, not really appear per se. A cover of Coldplay the scientist was made, and it's the scientist Coldplay cover that made it on the film Wicker Park. On the other hand, Coldplay clocks appeared on the trailer of Peter Pan. Even if clocks Coldplay didn't appear on the soundtrack itself, it was more than enough for exposure already.
Both clocks Coldplay and the scientist Coldplay did very well on the Billboard charts. The clocks Coldplay track placed 9th on the UK Singles chart. Not to mention the Coldplay mp3 of Clocks winning the Grammy Record of the Year award for 2004! The scientist Coldplay may not have won any awards, but it still placed 10th on the UK Singles chart. If you ask me, the success of The Scientist can be attributed to the strong Coldplay song lyrics. Because aside from its haunting melody, The Scientist does have Coldplay song lyrics that literally pulls you in.
From the pop sound of A Rush of Blood to the Head, the band moved onto electronica with 2005's X&Y. The Coldplay fix you track off the album was welcomed with open arms by the public. The success Coldplay fix you achieved was so immense that the Coldplay fix you track has been used in all sorts of media everywhere. For starters, fix you Coldplay appeared on the hit TV series Scrubs. The trailer for the film World Trade Center also features fix you Coldplay. Because of significant airplay as well, fix you Coldplay peaked at the 4th spot on the UK Singles chart.
The Coldplay talk track moved on to become a massive hit worldwide as well. On the UK chart, Coldplay talk peaked at 10th place. But in the Netherlands, Coldplay talk was able to take the #1 spot! And the video for talk Coldplay is quite something. The main concept for talk Coldplay is to show the band members as astronauts. The course of the talk Coldplay video has the band trying to get some sort of robot to work.
And that was more or less the last that we saw of the band. Rumors of Coldplay disbanding were also fueled when Chris Martin said that the public wouldn't be seeing or hearing much of them for some years to come. But these rumors remain rumors.
That is, until now! The band has announced that they have a new album coming. And they even sent word out on the titles of some tracks that will be on it. No date of release has been given for the album yet. But you can be sure that this album will be worth the wait and anticipation.
