Saliva Music Back on Track

With the release of the latest album by Saliva the band, rockers worldwide are definitely in for a treat! This alternative rock band has been dishing out the goods since 1996. And more than a decade later, Saliva the band has proven that they still have more goods to dish out!

The band's start actually involves a competition, namely, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Grammy Showcase competition. Saliva the band was able to reach the final round of this competition. After such, Saliva then released their self-titled debut album. While the album sold a mere 10,000 copies, the band gained much-needed exposure. Shortly after, Island Records signed the band on.

And then came their major album releases! Saliva's sophomore album, Every Six Seconds, was released late March of 2001. In fact, the band just celebrated the 6th anniversary of the album's release. And with good reason!

And who wouldn't want to celebrate such a successful album? Every Six Seconds brought forth the very strong tracks, Click Click Boom and Superstar. For some reason, many WWE wrestlers like the lyrics to these songs by Saliva! A lot have even employed Saliva's music for their acts! For starters, the former tag team MNM used Superstar for their theme. And Superstar was even used as WrestleMania X8's main theme!

Click Click Boom has also penetrated the WWE. Back in 2001, Click Click Boom was used as the theme song for WWE No Mercy. There really must be something about Saliva's music. Because not only have these two tracks been used by the WWE, they've also been used in certain films! Both tracks were used in The Fast and the Furious. Click Click Boom also made it on the soundtracks of How High and Talladega Nights. And due to such exposure, the album was able to achieve Gold status! Surely, this says a lot about the success of Saliva the band!

In 2002, Saliva the band came back with Back Into Your System. And its prowess in the WWE scene goes on with their track, Always. This track was used for the Survivor Series event in 2002.

But wait! There's more! Saliva's Rest in Pieces is also off this album. Rest in Pieces went on to become one of the band's most popular tracks. This is probably due to the "lost love" nature of its lyrics. Yep, a lot of people can definitely relate to the concept of lost love any day! Even to this day, fans worldwide still listen to the mp3 of Rest in Pieces. These two strong tracks helped the album reach Gold status again.

In 2004, Saliva released their album Survival of the Sickest. Although there were strong tracks off the album, it didn't do quite as well as its predecessors. After the release, the band took a breather from the music scene. This might have been prodded by the untimely departure of Chris D'abaldo, the band's guitarist.

But lo and behold, Saliva is back! This time, with a new guitarist, Jonathan Montoya, and yet another album to add to their collection!

Blood Stained Love Story was released late January of just this year. And a couple of days before its release, the whole album somehow made its way onto the web, in the form of mp3s for filesharing.

Nonetheless, the album still soared through the Billboard 200 charts, scoring the 19th spot. It even went on to sell more than 31,000 units in its 1st week alone!

The carrier single, Ladies and Gentlemen, debuted at #2 on US Mainstream Rock. And, as you might have already guessed, it was also used for WWE's WrestleMania 23! Saliva the band is indeed a favorite of WWE! Saliva has also released a music video for their carrier single! And that video is sizzlin'!

So, if you have yet to buy your own copy of Saliva's latest album, wait no more! You won't regret grabbing your own copy off shelves!
