Just what has been going on with the bald Britney Spears? Her monumental rise to the top in her early teens catapulted into a monumental demise in just a short matter of time. And this drop from the top was chronicled by the many photos and video clips of Spears herself.
Sure, we took her 55-hour old marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander well. We even took the annulment that followed with grace and optimism. And then came her marriage to Kevin Federline, and her two pregnancies that came hurriedly. Now, that was one decision that marred Britney's image considerably. But we all felt an uplifting of spirit when she finally decided to get a divorce from Federline.
But the uplift was short-lived when she started hanging out with the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Going to party after party, pictures of Spears were taken relentlessly, even to the point of her getting out of cars! And, as if these weren't enough already, the pictures taken of Britney Spears has her crotch exposed! It would have been better if these were merely topless photos of Spears. But the crotch? Now, that is close to unforgivable! Just what was Britney thinking when she decided to go out without any underwear?
Beyond photos, videos of Britney's exposed crotch were also released, much to the chagrin of mothers worldwide. Let's face it: a lot of teenagers worldwide still hold Spears as some sort of role model. And mp3 tracks of her songs are still hot on boomboxes everywhere. Mothers everywhere got to thinking about the role model Spears turned out to be.
Still, a lot of diehard fans gave Spears the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she was just confused or overwhelmed with her newfound freedom. And when news of Spears going into rehab surfaced, these fans breathed a sigh of relief.
The atmosphere of relief, once again, was still short-lived. For within the same day that Spears entered rehab, she up and left it right away. And, as if experiencing some sort of "epiphany", she decided to get a haircut. Not just some new haircut though, for Spears decided to go completely bald! And the hairdresser didn't even want to shave Britney's head bald, you know. Britney ended up shaving her head to get her new bald look herself. Oh, and then there's the matter of her getting a tattoo. Why the divorce triggered so many changes in Britney escapes the lot of us.
Fortunately, the bald Britney decided to make the wise decision of going back to rehab. And she was able to finish the required period of a month at Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility. In fact, Spears just checked out of the rehabilitation center last week. Rumor has it that it was actually the encouragement of her ex, Justin Timberlake, that made her decide to go into rehab. In a letter sent to Spears from Timberlake, the former NSYNC frontman assured Spears of his unconditional support as soon as she completes the program at Promises. Surely this should put Britney on the road to recovery.
It's too early to tell what Britney's next move would be. But after all she's been through, it really wouldn't hurt to give the young star another chance. And with JT by her side, the bald Spears just might be able to get her life, not to mention her career, back on track. And, hopefully, she'll decide to let go of the bald look and get her hair growing! While the bald look doesn't really look bad on her, it doesn't help that much with her deteriorating image.
