Freddy Fender, the musician who is credited for the 1950?s hits "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" and "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" was found to have incurable cancer. This was found out after tumors were discovered on his lungs.
Despite his illness however, this Grammy award winner was heard to state that he is comfortable with his life and at a year before turning 70, he has nothing much to ask for. Although his family and friends as well as himself wish he had longer to live, he is still thankful for everything he?s had and has been through.
He is currently resting in Corpus Christi with his wife and manager.
