Jovan "The Black Donald Trump" Kampbell, Jibs, did all he could to grab the attention of his big brother, DJ Beats of Da Beatstaz, who was gaining fame in St. Louis producing for rap stars Nelly and Chingy.

At eight, he wrote a rap and stunned his brother with his performance. DJ Beats then started tagging along jibs in the studio.

Aside from just doing it, the teen rapper aims to establish himself as a trendsetting artist who wants to bring in some flavor to the game as a youngster in the business.

"I want to change it up a little bit. I also want to show teenagers that they can make it, just like I did. I came from the hood just like they did and I made it better," yung jibs said.

Chain Hang Low has reached number 7 on Billboard Hot 100. The melody chorus comes from an old minstrel show song called the "The Turkey in the Straw", via the children's song "Do Your Ears Hang Low." Hip-hop blogger Byron Crawford recently listed this song under a genre of music called "Minstrel show rap".
