Fourteen agonizing months after the announcement of their bands reformation, Smashing Pumpkins fans can now rejoice!

Eric Avery, former Jane's Addiction bassist revealed on his Website that he is been collaborating with Billy Corgan, founder and frontman of the Grammy-winning alt-rockers.

"It looks like I will be working with the Smashing Pumpkins," Avery stated.

An influenced on the Pumpkins' music, Avery's participation would be innate fit. He is also a good friend with the rest of the Pumpkins. However, there is no confirmation yet that he is a bona fide member of the band and it is not clear whether all four original Pumpkins are taking part in the reunion.

After their disbandment in 2002, Corgan was frantic to reform his most valuable and significantly- celebrated project following a wretched adventure with Zwan and a solo album in 2005. In a full page ad, he announced the reformation of Smashing Pumpkins.
